The sky is falling!

Not quite but it looks like there's a giant leak up there. It has been raining nonstop here in in Mississippi. Such an aweful day :(
Work was it's crappy same today with 2 power outages! On the bright side 2 years ago today i was in labor!
Happy Birthday Grace! I cannot believe my little monkey is 2 years old. They're not kidding when they say that time flies and before you know it they're having their own kiddos..ok ok im getting ahead of myself but seriously. I wish i could pause some days and enjoy my baby girl. So far today nothing big is planned, just staying home watching movies and making dinner. Enjoying this special day with my sweet child.

First official post

Hi there..so this is my first official post. What a weekend it has been! We had Grace's 2nd birthday party yesterday:)

She had a great time! It was kind of wild getting ready for it, but we tried to do everything ahead of time so i would not be cutting heads off! First off i decided to make the cake myself, i went around looking for recipes and came up with...buying boxes of Pillsbury moist cake mixes..they were only .69 cents so give me a break!hehe. Then i decided to make it a ladybug cake, and once the weeks went rolling the idea turned from a whole ladybug to a flower with a ladybug on it. It turned out great and i have to give Cory many thanks and credit because helped out a bunch! What a wonderful daddy he is. Everybody was impressed. We made the icing homemade and it was a delicious buttercream. The cake itself was 3 layers (white, devil's food, white) and the ladybug and cupcakes were chocolate. YUM! This is the sencond cake we make. Thinking about making this a tradition. Im guessing i will be making cakes for Grace for the rest of her life!
